Learn how referrals work?
You can invite your family and friends to join Xhuma using a unique referral link generated for you. The more people you share your link with, the more successful referrals you can have. These succuessful referrals will entitle you to monetary rewards!!
To qualify as a successful referral, a user should:
- Sign up using your unique referral address found in the link
- Open a Xhuma account on the App after launch
- Pass the KYC and FICA checks
- Transfer a minimum of R250 into their account
- Order their Purple Physical Card in App
For every successful referral you will go into a draw to earn either R10, R20, R50 or R500 for every unique person who completes steps 1 - 5.
Please note Xhuma reserves the right to close the Early Sign Up queue at any time and to update the redemption terms and conditions at any point in time.

Prior to the formal launch, Xhuma created an early sign up queue for users to guarantee their Purple Xhuma card and to earn some cash rewards. Each user will receive a unique referral sign up link after completing the early sign up process. Click here to learn more about how the early sign up process works.
How to start early sign up?

After completing all the prompts you will receive a Whatsapp with a unique referral link created specially for you. You can then send your sign up link to as many people as you wish in order to improve your ranking on the waiting list and to earn money.

Your Xhuma card will still function even without your smartphone. You will still be able to make card payments and withdraw cash, and even top-up your account via bank transfer.
However, we recommend that you download the Xhuma app on your new smartphone, enter your phone number (associated with your Xhuma account) and follow the account access recovery flow in order to link a new phone number to your Xhuma account.
Please do not create a duplicate account – simply get in touch with us to verify your new device.

If you're waiting for the verification result, please note that it can take anywhere between 10 minutes and 24 hours or more for you to hear back from us. If your verification has failed, please try again and double-check that your images are clear and all document photos are readable without any blur or glare.
Make sure that you:
- Are using a document that isn't expired, damaged or unreadable
- Take pictures that are clear, with the details of the document readable
- The account cannot be verified with pictures of screens/copies/scans of the real document.
If you're experiencing issues with ID verification, here are a few things to keep in mind:
- Make sure you have the latest version of the app
- If your camera isn't working and you can't take photos, please use a different device. The documents have to be submitted in the app.

To add funds to your account, select the amount you want in the “Top Up” section of the app
We then offer a number of methods to add money to your account, including:
- External Debit or Credit Card: enter your card 16 digit card details, CVV and expiry date;
- EFT/Bank Transfer: transfer money to your account using the account details;
- Switch your salary into your Xhuma account: Share the salary email from within the app.
